About Pod21 & the role
Pod21 LLC is a US-based media production company producing video podcasts and high-production shortform edits centered on Bitcoin and freedom technology.
We are looking for a remote Video Editor based in Mexico to manage our weekly post-production pipeline. You will take pre-mastered audio, raw video recordings, and structured brand assets to deliver sharp longform podcast episodes, social highlight clips, and research-heavy shortform YouTube videos that effectively communicate complex technical and monetary concepts.
Core weekly deliverables & rates
All work is project-based and paid per completed deliverable. Partial or full payment in bitcoin is available on request.
Longform podcast package
- Scope
- 1x full video podcast edit + 2x social highlight clips (estimated ~8 total hours).
- Execution
- Assemble multi-cam video edit and perform basic audio leveling (recordings arrive AI-pre-mastered).
- Curating hooks
- Review the raw recording to curate 6 to 8 candidate selects/hooks for team review, from which 2 final clips will be approved and cut.
Shortform narrative edit (8 to 15m)
- Scope
- 1x YouTube-optimized narrative video (estimated ~24 total hours).
- Execution
- Craft a dynamic, high-pacing edit incorporating curated found footage, creative asset research (sourcing relevant news clips, charts, and archival footage), slick transitions, and kinetic text/graphic highlights.
Qualifications & skill set
Required
- NLE expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Creative research & storytelling
- Ability to independently source relevant found footage, archive clips, and visual assets that elevate complex narrative topics.
- Basic motion graphics
- Title animations, text highlighting, and lower-third graphics (within Premiere, After Effects, or another suitable software).
- Language & communication
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) for clear asynchronous collaboration.
- Reliability
- Strong deadline discipline and an editing rig capable of smooth 1080p editing.
- Interest in bitcoin and open source
- A foundational understanding of (or willingness to learn about) bitcoin and open-source technology.
Desired (bonus points)
- Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Remotion, or Hyperframes.
- Basic image editing skills (Photoshop / Illustrator).
Workflow & logistics
- 100% remote
- Work your own hours as long as key delivery dates are met.
- Brand assets provided
- You will receive a brand kit (lower thirds, intro/outro stingers, fonts, color palettes).
- Cloud storage
- Assets managed via shared cloud storage (you will be onboarded upon hire).
- Trial period
- You will begin immediately on live production projects; the first few deliverables serve as an open-ended trial for long-term contracting.
- Tax status
- Contractor must be registered with SAT (RESICO preferred) and capable of issuing valid invoices (CFDI / international invoice) to a US entity.
